Radhika Malhotra, Country Head

Radhika grew up in Chandigarh and has a Master’s degree in French literature. She worked in Canada for three years in the non-profit sector assisting immigrants and refugees. She has taught French at Alliance Francaise in Chandigarh. Radhika has organized several literary and cultural events, produced and anchored a television show and published a book on natural farming. She enjoys writing, music and swimming and is a theatre and movie buff. She joined Language Must as Senior Manager in May 2015.


Michael MangoldMichael Mangold, Head German Teacher

Michael completed his Master’s in Political Science at Freie Universität in Berlin. He worked with youth NGOs in Europe during which he organised exchange programmes and conducted workshops on European politics in schools. His visit to India in early 2015 sparked a desire to return and he decided to take up a teaching position in Delhi. He enjoys Blues and Jazz music, literature, street art and travelling. Michael joined Language Must in July 2015.


Jennifer Loeseke, Senior German Teacher

Born and raised in Germany, Jennifer studied Literature and English. Intrigued by how language and culture shape one’s perception of the world, she pursued a Master’s degree in Intercultural German Studies. Jennifer has worked in Chicago, traveled around Venezuela and joined Language Must as a Senior German Teacher in September 2015. A sports enthusiast, she likes climbing, trekking and swimming. She also enjoys cooking as much as she loves eating.


Nina Conrad, Senior German Teacher

Born and brought up in Hamburg, Nina did her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Southasian Studies at the University of Halle. She first visited India in 2011 to volunteer at a school in the outskirts of Hyderabad – an experience that influenced her choice of studies, and turned out to become merely the first of many visits to India in the following years. Besides exploring new destinations, Nina enjoys hiking, reading and learning languages. She joined our Language Must team as a Senior German Teacher in September 2016.


Sheena Strahm, Senior German Teacher

Born and raised in Switzerland, Sheena opted for an apprenticeship after finishing school and in 3 years she moved on to work as an Accountant. The role quelled her travel itch but left her creative self in-satiated. She traveled across South East Asia, South Africa, Australia, Europe and India. Enamored by the Indian culture, she decided to move here to work in the new profession she had chosen for her herself. In October 2016, Sheena joined the Language Must team. Besides teaching, Sheena enjoys reading books and her vagabond shoes love to stray in the woods.


Thibault Weigelt, German and French Teacher

A son of German mother and a French father, Thibault was raised in Germany, but grew up speaking both his parents’ languages. The French/German citizen and holds a trinational Master degree in International and Comparative Law from the University of Strasbourg, France. He worked previously in an NGO in the field of human rights and as a freelance legal translator. When he is not working or hibernating, he enjoys cooking, basketball and video games. Thibault teaches German and French.



Arshad Jamal, PhD, Senior Hindi/Urdu Teacher

Arshad Jamal has a PhD in Urdu literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where he also worked to develop an online dictionary for Urdu. Arshad has taught Urdu as a second language at Jawaharlal Nehru University as well as the American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS). He sees languages as an effective tool for cultural exchange. Since March 2014, he is teaching Hindi & Urdu at Language Must. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading books and chatting with friends.


Dr.Alam_profileIntekhab Alam, PhD, Senior Hindi/Urdu Teacher

Intekhab Alam has a PhD from the Centre of Indian Languages, JNU, New Delhi. He has more than eight years of experience in teaching Hindi and Urdu, including a five-year teaching stint at the US Embassy. He has designed lessons on how to use smartphones, tablets, laptops and other gadgets with Hindi/Urdu writing tools. Dr Alam, as he is popularly known,  is also an announcer at All India Radio’s Urdu Service. He enjoys writing short stories and is a certified Yoga teacher. Dr. Alam and his wife have a daughter. Since October 2014, he is teaching Hindi & Urdu at Language Must.



Vivek_Portrait_180pxVivek Kumar Shukla, PhD, Senior Hindi Teacher

Vivek Kumar Shukla has a PhD in Hindi Translation from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where he also taught Hindi as a second language. Vivek is now Teaching Assistant Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark, since January 2015. He is planning to offer Hindi intensive courses at Language Must.

Flora was instrumental in transforming Knowledge Must into the successful and buzzing language school it is today. Having joined the company as a German and French language teacher in 2010, she went on to take on the role of Managing Director in 2011. In June 2015, after four years at the helm of the company and seven years in India, Flora returned to Germany to take on a new professional role. She continues to play an advisory role at Knowledge Must.

Heiko Pfeiffer

Heiko was instrumental in transforming Language Must into the successful and buzzing language school it is today. He joined Language Must in 2010 as a German language teacher and went on to head the division in 2011. In August 2015, after four years at the helm and five years in India, Heiko returned to Germany to take on a new professional role. He continues to play an advisory role at Language Must.
